Announcing five amg college scholarship opportunities:

Association Management Group believes that education plays a pivotal role in propelling our community toward progress. We recognize the significance of investing in our community, particularly in the younger generation, as they represent our future.

To fulfill this commitment, AMG took the initiative several years ago to establish a scholarship program. This program serves a dual purpose: honoring exceptional individuals who are no longer with us and providing assistance to young individuals as they embark on their educational pursuits. We firmly believe that supporting these individuals in their educational journey is a meaningful way to contribute to the betterment of our community.

All scholarships are 100% funded by the owners of AMG, not community association fees or assessments.

Scholarships to Honor Community Members:

To help share our ideas of community with the next generation, AMG is proud to announce a set of scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each, beginning with the 2023/2024 school year. These scholarships honor the memory of five individuals who made a difference in the lives of others:

Billie Butler Scholarship

Billie joined our AMG Charlotte office in 1994. For more than 20 years, Billie used her nurturing skills to assist AMG staff members and provide exemplary customer service to AMG community members. She was a kind soul who was loved and respected by all.

Ron Erickson Scholarship

Ron was a financial planning professional, a big-hearted mentor, and a true friend to many. Ron's dedication to public service and helping others was world class. He was a role model to all who knew him.

Corey Flynt Scholarship

Corey was the son of AMG’s President Dacy Cavicchia and brother to both AMG’s Charlotte Director of Operations, Danielle Rudisill and Special Projects Coordinator, Cassie Kutay. Education held a significant place in Corey's life, and in the face of challenges and obstacles, he displayed unwavering determination, persistently striving to achieve his objectives.

Tommy Badgett Scholarship

Tommy, who sadly passed away in January 2021, started his journey with AMG in 1994 as a dedicated repairman. Throughout the years, he skillfully grew in his responsibilities, eventually becoming a certified pool operator before his retirement in 2015. Tommy was a valued and long-serving member of the AMG team, a genuinely compassionate individual, and an irreplaceable friend.

Rea Tinsley Scholarship - ”The People’s Choice Award”

Rea was a cherished member of our AMG family for 16 years and was Director of Operations in Greenville. Tragically, she passed away in March 2022 after bravely fighting cancer. She was an extraordinary individual and a remarkable co-worker, known for her exceptional kindness and gentle nature. Rea's absence is deeply felt, and her memory will forever remain a cherished and integral part of our AMG family.

You are eligible to apply for these annually awarded scholarships if you are:

  •   An employee of AMG or their child or grandchild.

  • A resident of a community managed by AMG or their child or grandchild.

  •   A vendor of an AMG-managed community or their child or grandchild.

These scholarships can be used for any North or South Carolina public college/university. (This includes vocational programs and community colleges. Nonpublic or non-Carolina institutions may be considered on a case-by-case basis, so others are still encouraged to apply.)

This year, the selection of scholarship recipients will be conducted through a process involving the submission of a 1–2-minute video that delves into the concept of community and its significance.

The Rea Tinsley Scholarship will also be designated as the People's Choice Award. Here's how the process will unfold:

    1. Applicants will share their respective videos on their personal Facebook pages and encourage their friends to like their video on AMG's Facebook page.

    2. The scholarship will be awarded to the video that receives the highest number of votes on Facebook as a tribute to Rea.

    3. Each "Like" on AMG's page will count as one vote.

    4. Likes will ONLY count if they are on AMG’s post, not the applicant’s shared post or anywhere else.

    1. The voting period will be active from July 10th to July 20th.
